Vice City is back — but this time it anchors an entire state. Here is what we actually know about the GTA 6 map so far, and why it looks like Rockstar's most ambitious world yet.
The state of Leonida
GTA 6 is set in Leonida, a fictional take on Florida, with a modern, neon-soaked Vice City at its heart. Trailers show sun-bleached beaches, dense nightlife, wetlands and swamps — a world that shifts dramatically as you move from downtown to the everglades.
Districts and landmarks
Expect a layered city: glossy beachfront strips, run-down back streets, marinas and high-rises, plus rural towns and highways connecting it all. Rockstar's pattern is to make every district feel hand-authored — shops you can enter, crowds that react, weather that rolls through.
How big is it, really?
No official size has been confirmed, but every sign points to the biggest map in series history — and the most reactive. If GTA V's Los Santos still feels alive a decade on, Leonida is built to top it.
Explore it day one
A world this big is best experienced un-spoiled and at launch, before the internet maps every secret. Lock in your copy and make sure you have the storage — these installs are large — so nothing keeps you from wandering Leonida on Nov 19.
